How to go
By Car
In the wider region of Konitsa you reach the national road Ioannina-Kozani. From Ioannina to approximately 43 km and after passing Vigla you enter the area of Konitsa from where you can see the southwest terminals of Tymphi and the plain of Konitsa with the contribution of the two Aoos and Vidomatis rivers. After another 20 km (63 in total from Ioannina) and after crossing the village of Klidonia, you reach the town of Konitsa. Alternatively from Vigla you can head straight to the border with Albania in the southwest of Konitsa, where the villages around Molyvdoskepasti Monastery (Molyvdoskepasto, Aidonohori, Bourazani, Melissopetra, Kalovrisi). Also in the area of Konitsa you can reach the western Zagori, through Aristis and Kleidonia.
On the opposite side of the above-mentioned highway, that is to say, as you come from Kozani to Ioannina at about 120 kilometers from Kozani and after passing the mountain pass of the Voios between the villages of Pentalofos and Eptachori you reach the Sarantaporos valley and the wider area of Konitsa. You will first come across the streets of Mastorohoria where you can reach Konitsa or wherever you wish. From the same direction and through the mountain crossings of Grammos you can reach the area and Kastoria after passing through the villages of Nestorio and Nea Kotyli.
By Bus
Starting from Ioannina and towards Konitsa as well as from and in the opposite direction, a number of buses are operated daily with KTEL buses. KTEL Konitsa operates from the city of Konitsa to all the villages of the wider region.
The route Konitsa – Pyrsogianni – Kifkati (45 km) takes place every Monday and Friday and the route Konitsa-Pyrsogianni-Oxya-Chionades (40 km) every Wednesday. At the same time, another bus runs every Monday and Friday the route Konitsa-Kefalochori-Plagia-Drosopigi (45km) and every Monday, Konitsa-Kastanea (25km) – Langada (20km)
There are two daily bus services (morning and afternoon) of the KTEL of Ioannina and Kozani (220 km) to both cities with stops in Konitsa (157km from Kozani & 63km from Ioannina), at the Pyrsogianni junction (130km from Kozani & 90km from Ioannina), to Theotokos and Kefalochori. Finally, it is a bus service from the Ioannina Bus Station to Ioannina to Athens and Thessaloniki and vice versa on a daily basis.

By Plane
There are daily flights to and from Athens with Olympic Air and 5 flights a week to and from Thessaloniki for 50 minutes.
The area of the Municipality of Konitsa is served by King Pyrros Airport, located in Ioannina. Just outside the airport there are taxis and a bus stop. Thus the visitor can easily and quickly move to his destination.
